King Helu Tomb Qin Shi Huang Wang Xun & Wang Min Bai Juyi Shantang Street
Tiger Hill preserves layered memories from the Spring and Autumn Wu kingdom: the reputed tomb of King Helu, the lore of Qin Shi Huang seeking swords, and the estates of the Wang brothers in the Six Dynasties. In the Tang, Bai Juyi’s civic works linked the hill to the canal-side bustle that would become Shantang Street, making Huqiu a hinge between sacred geography and everyday city life.
